We will be hiking my absolute favorite local park, Chautauqua State Park. This park allows for off-leash hiking, has ample free parking, and is right outside of Boulder. I have hiked every trail and come up with my favorite route which I will be taking everyone on.

Meadows Trail to Enchanted Mesa Trail
Distance and Gain: 4-mile loop, about ~800-1000 ft
Difficulty: Moderate (can be made Easy by taking a shorter trail)
Notes: This park is part of the Boulder Open Space Program with Voice & Sight Tags for off-leash dogs. This is my absolute favorite hike. Having hiked every hike in this park numerous times, I have my favorite route that I will be sharing and taking everyone on but those are the main start/end trails above.
Parking: Free! Always arrive early to get a good spot.
Post-Hike Options: Upslope Brewery, Flatiron Park in Boulder has a dog-friendly patio (with heaters) and one of the best burgers I've ever had!
Romero's K9 Club and Taphouse in Lafayette is an indoor off-leash dog park (with an on-leash, separated option as well) and great local food trucks.
